Our Teenvine Plus and Teenvine Next Steps are combining their talents to offer a Summer of Fun programme to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Coventry.
The prospect of leaving school either for the summer break or altogether following exams can be daunting, especially for teenagers who have been amongst the most isolated by the Covid crisis.
To combat this, we’ve designed a four-day programme of fun, fitness and food running weekly from Monday 2 August to Friday 27 August 2021.
All young people and their families need to do to take up this free offer is submit an ‘All About Me’ form, available from Naomi, Sarah or Coleman at Grapevine (contact details below).
If you are aged 11-16 and want to join in with a safe, meaningful, Covid guidance compliant programme between 10am and 2pm over four days where you can make connections and learn new skills, please get in touch!
Each week will go a little something like this:
- MONDAYS: Fitness with Onside (venue TBC)
- TUESDAYS: Coventry Cooks at Coventry Foyer, Lower Holyhead Road
- WEDNESDAYS: Wellbeing at Coventry Foyer
- FRIDAYS: Picnic in the Park (venue TBC)

If you haven’t yet heard of Teenvine Plus or Teenvine Next Steps, both projects are funded by BBC Children in Need and the story of how they have helped some of Coventry’s most disadvantaged young people through the pandemic can be found here.
Teenvine forms part of our #StrengtheningPeople strand of action at Grapevine.
