Last month Coventry Youth Activists (CYA) were joined by Peace First – a non-profit organisation empowering young people to create a just and peaceful world.
Tahmid travelled from London to help the group share things they felt passionate about and wanted to change. The result was not just one but two new campaigns for the young activists to start working on with a clear strategy for the year and new ideas. They are:
Increasing visibility
Creating and increasing representation of people with additional needs in the media and spreading positive perceptions of what they can achieve.
Action against Facebook
Challenging how Facebook handles people who discriminate against people who have a disability.
