A venue change and special celebratory theme welcomed ‘Collaboration Station’ back for another 12 months of turning ideas into community action that helps connect people in Coventry.
An amazing 57 people came out to join us on a very cold January evening last week (18 January) at St Mary’s Guildhall, a beautiful cobblestone fronted city centre venue overlooking Coventry Cathedral and steeped in a history all of its own.
Our guests came to hear the stories of leaders of grassroots initiatives sparked and developed through the Connecting For Good Cov network – where Grapevine’s community organising team helps support people to make positive change in their city.

The team also works with a core group of locals to host Collaboration Station on the third Wednesday of each month. An inclusive, free space boosting connection, creativity and collective power to tackle social issues caused by isolation.
From survivors of sexual violence supporting one another, to an ever-expanding arts group crafting kindness in libraries, to growing movements promoting the need to rest in public places and the benefits of greener urban spaces, January’s Collaboration Station Special was chock full of energy and inspiration.

Having reflected on and celebrated 2022’s lessons and successes, we are ready for 2023!
February’s Collaboration Station welcomes tables including setting up a community woodland and developing a campaign around public toilets.
