We are looking forward to working alongside Coventry City of Culture Trust to explore how culture and the arts can help us build back to a better city after the pandemic.
Coventry City of Culture 2021 begins in May next year and will run until May 2022. The Trust recently unveiled their new Coventry Moves branding*.
As part of the City of Culture Caring City team, we are working with Associate Producer Hannah Graham in spearheading ‘Reform the Norm’ – a collaborative effort alongside Positive Youth Foundation, Central England Law Centre and The Refugee and Migrant Centre to turn experiences from this time into the power to change our city.
“This is the city where movement began, from innovation in the transport industry to a history of activism. Our city has moved people for centuries.” (Coventry Moves, July 2020)
We are also delighted that people we work with will be shaping the opening and closing ceremonies and that Lads and Dads (working title) – led by Curious Boys and Girls Club and born at Collaboration Station – will be popping up at events across the city to engage guys in culture, music and community in support of men’s mental health.
